What is the process for getting a medical visa to India?

CureTour assists you with the visa application process, providing you with the necessary documents and guidance to obtain a medical visa. Once you finalize the hospital, we can help you with the “Invitation Letter” required to apply for medical visa to India.

How long will I need to stay in India outside hospital for my treatment?

The duration of your stay outside hospital will depend on the required recovery period and the need for any in-person follow up or physical examination by the doctor. This usually ranges from 5-10 days post hospital discharge. This can be discussed with the doctor.

How do I handle post-treatment follow-ups once I return to my home country?

Can I bring a companion, and what are their arrangements?

How do I know if the hospitals in India are accredited and up to international standards?

CureTour can help you with the accreditation details at anytime. We only deal with the hospitals in India that are accredited by international organizations such as Joint Commission International (JCI) and the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH). 

What does the medical tourism package include?

Packages typically include consultation with doctors, treatment costs, hospital stay, airport transfers, and sometimes even local sightseeing. CureTour clearly outlines the inclusion in the package and additional charges if any in the quotation provided to the patients. The packages can be customized based on the specific needs

How long will I need to stay in the hospital for my treatment?

The duration of your stay will depend on the type of treatment and the required recovery period. Usually the hospital stay lasts for minimum of 2 days and can go till 5 days for some procedures.

What are the pre- and post-treatment requirements?

Each treatment has specific pre- and post-treatment requirements. Prior to the medical procedure, doctors may suggest some diagnostic test and blood work to be done, this may need some basic food regulation or medication controls. Post treatment, the hospital will counsel you with the care needed post surgery. This largely varies on the type of surgery

What are the payment options, and is insurance accepted?

Most hospitals has flexibility to accept international credit cards and wire transfers. Some treatments might be covered by international health insurance, but it’s important to confirm with both the hospital and your insurance provider in advance. Patients need to pay the hospital bill directly to the hospital, not the CureTour.

How do I start the process of medical tourism?

To begin your journey with us, simply contact us via our web form, email, or phone mentioned on our Contact page. Provide us with your medical records and a brief description of your condition that will help the doctor to assess your condition. Our team will review your information and schedule a consultation to discuss your treatment needs and preferences in detail.

CureTour doesn’t charge anything for the initial consultation and to provide the quotation. We are happy to educate you on the treatment procedure in India

For an initial consultation, just provide your recent medical records, diagnostic reports if any, a copy of your passport, and any history of previous treatments. These documents help our doctors to accurately assess your condition and to recommend the best treatment plan.

Once we receive your medical information, it typically takes about 3-7 business days to prepare a detailed treatment plan and cost estimate. We work with our network of hospitals and specialists to ensure you receive the best options tailored to your needs.

Each case will be having a dedicated case manager who will coordinate all the communication and liaison between the patient and the hospital/doctor like arranging the consolations, booking slots for lab tests, coordinating surgery requirements etc. The case manager will oversee all your requirements until you successfully recover and fly back home.

Most hospitals accepts international cards and wire transfer. Payment terms of the hospital vary by hospital and treatment type. Generally, a portion of the payment is required upfront by hospital to secure your treatment slot, with the remaining balance payable upon completion of specific treatment stages. This payments will be made directly to the hospital. Detailed terms and conditions will be provided with your treatment plan.
